i use to work with a girl that voted for clive palmer last time he won a senate seat and i laughed and she felt embarassed so I've done my part for humanity also he has been out in fairfax with sign spinners or whatever they're called, got a beep from someone, i just massively avoided eye contact. I do wonder if they were volunteers or paid

went digging and the highest profile one i can find is pru goward, who was an abc journalist in the 80s and 90s before being a nsw state mp from 2007 to 2019. historically there's more who've become liberal candidates but mostly too long ago, more recently it seems like there's more who've become labor candidates which isn't a huge surprise honestly. crazy thing i did find is that chris uhlmann ran on an anti-abortion independent's ticket in the 1998 act election though, around the same time he started at the abc
