I think the high point of Superstar! is that since there are fewer school idols (like 1/2 the cast of other seasons), they give you more opportunities to explore each character in-depth and test out chemistries between multiple members, instead of giving you an unbalanced season where some characters (see: Ruby) get sidelined because a handful end up making the story all about themselves for multiple episodes (see: Eli in LL S1, Kanon and Mari in LL Sunshine S1).
