There's a bug where certain weapon arts and spells will apply whatever status effect you have on you to their buff, the seppuku weapon art has a status effect that gives you an invisible hit. The buff from the shield is now applying that hit over and over.

Surely they'd have chosen the "None" genitals (just underwear) when creating his model.

Chances are (very nearly) every character uses the same base body and only the heads are switched around, especially considering just how many generic NPCs there are in the open world. If you've got a fairly versatile character generator like in Cypberpunk, it's probably easier to define a given NPC just by a set of generator parameters and have the game generate it on the fly when they appear, rather than building a bespoke character model ahead of time. That way, if you apply any fixes or improvements to a given body part or a piece of clothing, it will automatically propagate down to every NPC that uses it, instead of requiring you to potentially have to manually make the same adjustment in several places. So Yorinobu would have a parameter somewhere that says "no dick", but the actual modeled dick would still be part of the model loaded in, just hidden away. If the hider breaks, the dick pops out. I remember someone on this forum saying he was a coder on the original Madden for the NES and he still gets checks because they keep using enough of his legacy code to qualify for residuals.

Fumble Dimension is really interesting, I think because unlike a lot of games that have to test the extremes of what's possible, sports games are mostly built and designed around the assumption people are playing a human sport, like humans do, with known human players that are usually somewhere in the middle range of character creation. Which means that a lot of sports games are tested instead around that expected medium-ish (especially given they probably aren't tested very hard), and so some wild poo poo happens if you press against the edges.

Yeah. If anyone ITT hasn't read the original Breaking Madden articles, I recommend it. Jon references one of them in this video, but there's a bunch of other ones. Fumble Dimension started as a more video LP revisit to Jon's attempt to destroy basketball by replacing every player with goobers that can't play basketball, just to see how the game handles it. In both versions, the game seems to be able to tell something is wrong, and starts revolting.
