There are a few IKs who pitch in and help keep things generally on track. Unfortunately, this thread attracts a ton of attention from all over SA and we get lots of drive by poo poo posting from other parts of the forums. If that's you. I will refer you to my previous statement. Everyone else who hangs around and contributes with good faith discussion are better off without these stupid interruptions.

I apologize for the reddit link, but pretty interesting interview (if it's real) with a Donetsk separatist spetznas guy about the situation in Mariupol. Not sure when exactly it was filmed, but tl;dr is Azov battalion dug in and armed to the teeth and they control the comms, though the separatist guy appears pretty confident they'll eventually be able to finish off the Ukrainians because they have a lot more manpower and can call in airstrikes. One of my twitter follows observed that Putin can let the DNR guys take all the casualties and it won't blow back on him. Same for the Chechens whose casualties will blow back on Kadyrov, or so he hopes. For the bloody urban slog, these groups are the fodder and they're paying for it. And yeah, Mariupol is pretty fuckin doomed, sadly. The area of likely Russian control is steadily tightening over time.

It’s wild to me that back in 2015, we had a thread in A/T by a guy who was fighting with the LNR/DNR separatists in Ukraine. Makes me wonder what he’s up to these days beyond being dead or maybe modding CSPAM Edit: his last post in the thread was in response to someone saying that his posts were making arming Ukraine sound like a good idea. So observing the incongruity of these rules and punishments really shouldn’t be met with “gently caress off elsewhere” and maybe needs to be met with a clarification or a clearer communication of things. Besides, your a goddamn IK, not GiP gate keeper. My nephew is a hall monitor at his elementary, he’s got more juice and pull in that role than you do as an IK in here. In short: Communicate better, and don’t be a dick to new people here. We have a hard enough time getting people to come in here and commiserate with us. And that’s without telling them to gently caress off when they accurately observe these inconsistencies in punishment. And the answer isn’t QCS, it’s you and McNally doing a better job communicating. I want to emphasize that I don’t think you or McNally would give any jack rear end that posts that stuff anything less than scorched earth, but that’s not what was communicated in here. And you can’t expect a non regular to know that or even think that. Thanks for coming to my TED Talk, I’d like a large whopper and a McFlurry pls.
