just think it's pretty ironic that some union dude is like "hell yeah, our union guys are definitely touching grass" where the unions did the "change the rules" campaign prior to the last federal election and I am sure we can all agree that the unions collectively in this case were not "touching grass" at all. what proportion of australian workers are even in unions these days?

it seems the reason there are no rentals in regional anywhere is because all the houses are up for sale for inflated rates to people fleeing the city, and it's annoying to sell a house with tenants in it. so the landlords are just costing the lost rent into the asking price and kicking the tenants out so the house stays inspection-ready at all times. where do the tenants go? who cares

To be fair the actu have been poo poo for a while and it's full of wonks. Trades hall are better since they focus on electorates and do grass roots things like talk to people. They're the ones that get all the firefighters and nurses out spruiking for Dan for instance.
