Ogra FF are trying to get a motion against Varadkar becoming Taoiseach while under investigation. Seems to be others in government with trepidation to that as well. Giving how poorly FG are polling, I could see a push against him as leader before then. Coveney still seems the contender so it would be the ideal time to act. He could become Taoiseach without having to lead an election campaign. And Varadkar is already eligible for the Taoiseach pension so I could see him being offered a golden parachute to step aside.

There’s wee Nolan having a lad on his show complaining about mixed housing where the “dregs from west Belfast” go polluting the good loyalist areas (in our town specifically) aaand the DUP are putting leaflets through the door fear mongering about SF. Maybe irrational but I’m honestly making GBS threads myself for this whole summer. Feels awful having misgivings when it should be a great moment
