I just saw a notice on the Shout Factory FB page that they have less than 100 copies of the complete Cinematic Titanic collection left before it goes out of print. If you haven't gotten yours, now's the time.

I saw Quest of the Delta Knights on the Sci-Fi Channel as a Saturday-night original movie. And Overdrawn at the Memory Bank was on Saturday afternoon a lot. They both sucked.

While also constantly reminding you about how much better some other movie is.

Plus it takes a strong anti anteater stance and this offends me

A propos of nothing, I know there’s a Joel episode where they do an early version of the running gag from Space Mutiny and give the protagonist ridiculous names, but I can never remember which one it is when I’m in the mood to watch it. Anyone know what episode it is?

Could you be thinking of the Comedy Central-era Mike episode 524: 12 to the Moon with Captain Sledge Riprock?

It's one of the Hercules movies. Joel gives the bots big muscleman arms and encourages them to come up with cool tough-guy names like "Alan Steel." I think Crow comes up with "Drake Tungsten," but Tom can't quite get it, and his body rejects his new arms.

I’m 90% sure it was Joel, and that the riffs were during the movie itself. I’ll check out Hercules Against The Moon Men, though!

They did keep riffing on the bots' names for each other after they came back into the theater if that's what's pinging your brain.

(If I recall; that may be the very first MST3K episode I ever saw, and it was like 1996)

Is Hercules Against the Moon Men the one with the riff that's something like:

"I was kind of wondering what happened to Hercules."
"I was wondering what happened to the movie!"

Cliff Beefpile at the controls.

It is one of my favorites. The short is basically perfect in every way and the feature is just so wonderfully quaint for a early space race movie. It really is too bad that the actual story takes such a goofy turn halfway in.

I’m in the middle of 12 To The Moon and yup, I think this was the one I was thinking of. Something about hearing Crow say “Chunk Manmusk” made it click. Thanks, everyone!

Also I hope this isn’t the one I’m thinking of where a dude and a lady die in a flash of light aboard a spaceship after declaring their love for one another. The ending of that one pisses me off and I’m too baked to remember why.
