Thank you for the suggestions. Only got 4 lines worth in since cameo is apparently like hiring a voice actor to do twitter posts. Got 250 characters of Jon Baily due up sometime in the next week.

 We're boldly advancing on the plot today, charging into new and unknown enemies, and deeply upsetting Guava in more fun ways. And also he kind of unsettles me a lot with his need to say Meat Fist constantly.

You can also end up with two of a different faction hero if the first one gets captured and you get the recruitment mission before you do the rescue. So we could have gotten two skirmishers if the missions had come up differently. In my current game I have two templars and two reapers, for example.

On the note of the Poses mods, there are *two* recent ones - there is one called the "Casual Pose Pack" which contains most of the poses we've been seeing as well as the "Vertical" squad alignment, and that one doesn't claim to only be for women. The one called the Calendar Pose Pack, on the other hand... that one is poses exclusively for women.

Mind Scorch straight up dazes whoever it’s used on and it chains to more and more targets based on how leveled up Warlock is. Even when you dont have a full suite of mindshields like early on in a game it’s more annoying than anything else. Since he spent a turn Scorching he could have spent mind controlling or doing his shield thing.

Ahahaha, that Sectopod! My very first XCOM 2 campaign my introduction to the Sectopod was the same way. Put my squad into overwatch with no enemies in sight after the first pod was killed. Then I get a DRAMATIC SLOWDOWN as the Sectopod walks into my line of sight...only for Steam to pop up the "one shot a Sectopod from full health" achievement before the Sectopod actually showed up on screen.

Going back to an earlier thing about the Bolt Caster, I remember it being given to Specialists to modest effect, since the fact that it only gets one shot before you have to reload doesn't matter too much if they're mostly spending their actions on things that aren't shooting. Is that not the case now? On a similar note, I know there's researches that can pop up to boost damage to various weapon categories. I think you've gotten at least one to boost Assault Rifle damage. Does the Bolt Caster not count as an assault rifle for these purposes?

I've found I tend to get more use out of the bolt caster once I get the archon king's skin. Being able to reposition as a free action a couple times pretty much nullifies it's flaws, and I tend to throw it on my supports because they like all the pockets.

At 15:50-ish in the most recent video Guava suggested having a reaper kill off everything by itself to avoid revealing the squad, and Jade shot it down because it would be ridiculous if a game worked that way so clearly it wouldn't work. At least in the phone version of the game, you don't break squad concealment if a reaper fires and maintains personal stealth. The affected pod will activate, and usually start running back and forth between two seemingly random nearby spots on their turn, as they're active but have no known hostiles to engage. I don't think other pods are affected, but it could be that very close ones react in some way. Things like Advent marking crates for recovery won't start just because their guys are getting murdered, as long as the squad remains concealed.

There's no penalties to killing civilians during missions except when you have to rescue them. Also, if I knew how to mod, you bet your bippy I'd make a death physics mod for you, Jade.

 I think the poster pretty much says it all. This is a mission that could have been half as long if things didn't keep exploding. Oh also we do some plot science and try not to think about if what we did had any moral ramifications or if how any of that is how 'hacking' really works.

This LP got me to reinstall the game, again. I feel like my memory is failing me- I remember all of the additional ticking clock measures to kill overwatch creep not really being a bother ,but wow sometimes it's pretty unreasonable. I haven't lost any goals but the stupid "Tag the crate" supply raids and retaliation missions can feel extremely unfair? I've hit the ground with high-mobility groups doing blind max-distance moves right off the bat and I've had these types of missions turn out where *half* of the civvies are dead by the time I engage a pod, or Advent is snatching the crates I *just* reached. I only managed to get some on my latest supply raid because it was a lost mission and I was able to abuse implacable on a very high mobility ranger.
