The difference between Jarrett and Disco is that Disco was only good enough to ride coattails to the middle. And that unlike Jarrett, Disco looked out-of-time on purpose. (Seriously, Jarrett's whole WCW run just utterly reeks of 'Hello Fellow Kids') Come and think of it Disco probably had better matches because he was wrestling WCW's midcarders rather than their main eventers. So moves matter less than stories, punches, very basic moves, and just being solid. He worked fine in those constraints early in his career and the period people try to glorify but he had zero ability to adapt and the "sell forever then win" never worked as he sucked at selling. He was a Ric Flair wannabe but with none of the charisma.
