The DS is the best thing Nintendo ever made. I got gas lighted by a friend into buying a PSP, and basically dropped it right away because I got a DS with 1 game (Castlevania: PoR) and liked that so much more right away. The only reason the Switch isn't better is because it hasn't had the time to build up a billion amazing games like the DS had yet. But it might get there.

It's incredibly how good the DS Lite felt. The buttons, the case, the little sounds it'd make when you closed or opened it, the screen, the size. All A+ Just the most perfect console ever created

my mom gave me fifty bucks for acing a test or something and I immediately dashed out of the house to GameStop with my fat DS in tow to trade that sucker in for the brand new lite. second best console upgrade after GBA to SP

Has anybody had any issues with getting tennis in Switch Sports responding to swings? One of my four controllers isn’t registering the swing in tennis yet it’s clearly picking up the motion when moving. Seems fully updated but I’m a bit lost what could be wrong outside it being broken. It’s my kids’ Switch so it’s totally possible that’s it. e: ok I’m fairly convinced the controller’s hosed as it’s having a hell of a time getting centered for sword fighting. The GBA and 3DS were the better handhelds. Nintendo’s output on the DS is pretty meh in retrospect. New Super Mario Bros, Phantom Hourglass, Spirt Tracks, Yoshi Island DS, and Kirby Squeak Squad are all underwhelming. No 2D Metroid. 3rd party support was amazing on the DS though. Castlevania, Ace Attorney, Dragon Quest, etc.

Hotel Dusk will always be my favourite DS game, and I had bought it on a whim. I'm not big into VN's at all, but the atmosphere and music hooked me.
