Not sure why he had that reaction, Braid was THE indie game of the time when it was released. I do like Jonathan Blow’s videos on youtube though, where he goes over the stuff he’s programming. J. Blow stumped for Larry Elder during the California recall election, and is also a COVID truther. Guy's an absolute master of puzzle game design, The Witness is one of the best gaming experiences I've had, but he is a tremendous dumbass in all other respects.

I've been mainlining Tunic and enjoying the hell out of it, got all three collectable gems, thought to myself hell yeah this is in my top 3 games of the year so far. Then I need to find a 4th gem and now I'm stuck in spirit mode with a 1/3 of my health to fight like six bosses...again...and I'm about ready to check out and turn on god mode. I know one of the statues throws healing items out, but what good is that when I can only take two hits before I die at full health? Why does this game want to punish me?

The god mode is funny cause it still takes positively forever to kill the bosses and you take full knockback and stun so its also frustrating as hell lol

Finished Tunic! Got the true ending too. Great game, I liked it a lot more the further I got into it. Got into a nice rhythm with the combat too, didn’t like it at first but it comes into its own I felt when I got more used to it. Didn’t feel like I had to use god mode or anything

Max Payne 3 kicks rear end and scratches that Kane & Lynch pill-popping shot-calling itch, but there’s no way in hell I’m playing it again with unskippable cutscenes. A drat shame because the environments are great and I’d love to wander around.
