USSR was big, but it’s population was sparse compared to its size.

Basically they're making sure that the vast majority of the soldiers on the front line getting slaughtered are the ones conscripted from ethnic minority parts of Russia that had higher birth rates.

The source in that tweet happens to be the most read article of the most widely distributed finnish news magazine. I checked the comments and man , I've never seen so thoroughly pro-nato comments there. The comments are also slightly miffed about russian news dissing Mannerheim. Really have to wonder whether the russian state propagandists are concorned about their writings being read in Finland, since any news in russian state media about Finland do usually end up in finnish magazines.
