At my last job there was expectations to do work outside of hours, and when the pandemic hit and anyone that wasn't furloughed and above a certain salary had to take a temporary mandatory pay cut but still work full hours, along with be forced to go to mandatory meetings outside of working hours. My line manager said that we should all do it "for the love of the company" and that we should "praise" the senior manager (that many people have stated and still do state as their reason for leaving) from time to time to "keep him happy". I would be fired from that place eight months later because the two managers I mentioned thought I wasn't capable of doing my job and that I shouldn't be saying things like "I'm unhappy" and "I don't want to work here anymore" because it just brings down the mood of the company. It's funny how once I was away from those two people my happiness increased, but I'm sure that has nothing to do with them no longer being able to control certain aspects of my life.

One of the most empowering things that a boss ever said to me was "I'm not going to treat you like we're family, you have a family. I'm going to treat you like we're professionals. You have a life outside of this." it gave me permission to do things like take time off for health when I needed it, or advocate for my service and its needs without feeling there was an emotional component to it.

I've been watching Claudio's twitch streams over the last week or so because he's been playing Elden Ring and it's been pretty fun watching him play it, but man, his whole presentation is still "swiss from Da Party" and all of his sound alerts are Adam Cole saying stuff (including one that is just adam cole going "ADAM COLE BAYBAY") and everybody always asks him all the time about when da party is getting back together and I feel bad for the guy! He's funny enough to do his own thing I just think it's about time to let the whole da party/LRLR thing go  What I'm trying to say is AEW hire Claudio and set him free

I think Jessica McKay charges like $150 a month for her site, and I'm sure there's no shortage of thirsty wrestling nerds who are more than happy to pony up the cash.
