bottom for the year will be 2750 I say with sarcastic confidence so I can either say it's a joke if it doesn't happen or get really smug about if it does.

Yeah, that happened yesterday though, which was followed by a huge gain. Today it opened and collapsed back to the level before the announcement. I figured the catalyst for the uptick was the increase being what they expected it to be. I can’t figure out what the catalyst for the drop is though.

The catalyst for the decrease was yesterday's unjustified increase.

Similar, I'm up a little over 400% on the 22s and kicking myself I didn't go harder back in January.

It's going to revert to some extent tomorrow but I think it'll continue to go up over the next 4 ish months.

Is there any bank that offers a cd or savings account that has a rate that even gets close though? I mean, if the money is just sitting there, might as well do some i bonds

My ally savings account is stuck at .5 lmao

Drake No: Trying to gauge everything you do against an artificial benchmark of rapidly fluctuating and unstable monetary conditions.

Drake Yes: Simply taking guaranteed 10% returns and not overthinking it.

The first CNBC "markets in turmoil" special of 2020 aired on Feb. 24, 2020. The bottom in the S&P would come one month and -30.44% later.

In other news CNBC just announced a new special,

I have a watch list I look at every so often. I track 'what if I had bought this', and it's almost entirely losers, down 20% in the last year.

Today was just a bloodbath for that portfolio.

I think it was pretty much a bloodbath for any and all portfolios, wasn't it? There was not one DJIA stock in the green, and only two in the NASDAQ 100.

I shifted my fun portfolio to WEAT and GAZ a few days prior to the recent Russian incursion into Ukraine; that’s doing pretty well, including today.

Sadly my fun portfolio is only $200.

Ah gently caress, I had like a 5% unrealized gain on CNQ but I held on one more day because I thought it would shoot up today after earnings, like some of the other oil and gas stuff that's making money hand over fist lately. Normally I'd sell and pocket it but I went golfing today instead of working and watching stocks like some kind of idiot who's trying to enjoy things.

I want to try trading options but it's scary, is there any papertrading sites out there anyone uses that are good?
