the craziest thing about the videos of destruction after the tornado passed yesterday was that in every single one i saw, the tornado was still going, off on the horizon.

Due to "major... event" as wet bulb temperatures will likely pop up in Qatar, UAE, KSA, or Kuwait more frequently (have already been documented) than India just with more negligible impact. Edit: Mexico or Pakistan are likely too.

Life on the Island could get interesting with just being down a terminal, never mind whatever other infrastructure gets taken out. Pity there won't be any advance warning. It would be fun to surf that sucker all the way up the Salish Sea to Campbell River.

FFT posted:excuse me, what oh you haven't heard of that? https://www.livescience.com/25293-hawaii-giant-tsunami-landslides.html on big island there's a bunch of boulders 900 feet above sea level that were most likely swept up there in a huge tsunami. it's widely thought that the islands experience catastrophic collapses, you can see the debris fields from past ones on google maps in the ocean. https://hilo.hawaii.edu/~kenhon/GEOL205/Landslides2/default.htm best part is that rising sea levels are capable of triggering them

Oahu used to be much bigger, more like the size that big island is today, so i quickly overlaid them. the part of the island that remains and i live on is only one side of what used to be a massive mountain that fell into the sea
