But why is Bragg so bad? I’ve been to Drum a bunch of times, and iirc 10th Mtn is the most deployed unit in the US Army, and they didn’t have a shitload of mysterious deaths. The 10th Mtn guys seemed pretty chill, a few of the women I worked with married their Joes. They didn’t have the same menacing attitude you keep reading about with guys from Bragg who come across as bikers or cartel members. So it can’t just be number of tours then, is it the nature of the job?
