Even understanding the dems as purely an aesthetic, it's wild to me that they willingly just write off 80% of the country as not even worth acknowledging. You'd think even if you were in it just for the money you'd want to at least pretend to care about getting the money from the people who absolutely will not vote republican but I'm not Mark Penn (I know this because I understand how the democratic primary is run and what a caucus is.)

Well-dressed older lady, not the usual college student type at all. Her whole pitch was that if Trump wins we won't have a country anymore. I campaigned for Alison Lundergan Grimes, just to kind of see what election work was like, and even though it was the one of the most expensive races in American history at the time they didn't have phones and made us use our personal cell phones for calls. I quit in like a week.
