Much smaller scale, but Metroid Prime Hunters (the multiplayer one on the DS) had a bug/oversight where using using a percent sign in your name, like "%a", would be interpreted as a pointer and cause your name to show up as whatever was in that block of memory (generally a constantly changing stream of numbers, but you could also find the text from ability descriptions or something). Sadly, even in the pre-patch era they were able to update the multiplayer servers to not let you online if you had a % in your name.

an underappreciated aspect of elden ring's message system is that it lets other players in the game tell you where the glitches are https://i.imgur.com/MHkT39u.mp4 I found a random corner in one spot which would make the camera suddenly snap forward and jam itself inside your character's head, wrote "Didn't expect head..." and watched the message collect upvotes for weeks

I have a discord friend who is just incredibly bad at everything (as in, "I don't have to pay taxes if I live in my van and cross state lines every day", "I nearly got lost and starved to death in a forest because I forgot a can opener/knife/map/compass/phone", "I put $5000 in crypto and it immediately tanked I panicked and pulled 3000 out, more than twice") When our game group discussed maybe getting into Star Citizen, he cashed 300 bucks out of his crypto account and got a $300 ship sight unseen, proceeding to immediately crash it. Since I don't play I can only relate in-game stories secondhand, but as I understand it he immediately was thrown into debt for ship repairs. On the other hand, his crypto tanked to zero so the SC ship turned out to be the smartly invested money!!

It happened nearby in a settlement later so i suspect it might be some sort of local texture/lighting problem. It goes away after a few minutes luckily.

 You could harness that effect a bit more and it would make a rad enemy or environmental hazard, it kinda reminds me of those enemies in Control that look like weird clusters of glitching object model pieces.
