Dear ADTRW, I recently started reading manga again and have been out of the loop for about a decade. I've read some of the bigger names like Boys On The Run, Punpun and I Am A Hero, but for the most part I have been very much out of the loop. What are the bestest things to have come out in this timeframe. I'm very much into anything, so not at all bothered about genres. Thanks in advance!

Alice in Borderland is also required reading if you want to see the death game genre, but want one that has actual substance to it beyond just killing characters cruelly for shock value. It got a netflix adaptation I'm not willing to recommend, stick with the source material on this one.

I'm hesitant to post most of my favorite panels because of the copious amount of dong on display in this series (mosaic and lightsaber censorship is provided of course). I will say that I never expected the current mini-arcs of the titular Rosen Garten Tournament to be so fun.   King Beowulf is also an instant favorite. Honrable old men are very much my jam and we get lines like this to suit him  Plus Gawain as the focus of that leg of the tourney had a lot of payoff and he got a cute family out of it all This series is both  and  all in one.

The host club bit was funny as hell. Edit: Oh, an' I like the Persians' schtick about mashing up wizardry and... reverse OOPArts, I guess? It's clever, and it works well. Lol it took me until chapter three to realize the shape of the sword I don't think the art style is that great aside from the honed porny human proportions, but it has the same firm grasp on bodily distortion and viewing angles perfect for dynamic actions scenes as, for example, that Valkyrie tournament manga i forgot the name of. And while the backgrounds are basic, they show some effort into researching material for medieval townscapes and architecture and aren't half-assed, which would've been easy to do since the focus is obviously on "organic" stuff. Thoguh i gotta say the thigh holster for the axe is loving sick, i love it

The art is also surprisingly good and the fight choreography is top shelf in my opinion. Very kinetic without becoming incomprehensible and a lot of variety even when most characters fight with swords. The whole story is like a much more transparently horny Fate/Stay with how it uses and twists historical figures. And the characters are simply the best Allright, you sold me on this.
