Great.

I'm not very good at it either, but I am slowly building a list of words to at least figure out what the article might be about.

Insect, plant, animal, species
Population, country
Born, death, life
History, United States, World, war, military
Greek, latin
Wood, metal, leather, steel, plastic
Science, scientists, study, biology, physics, astronomy

Etc

What's everyone's strategy on redactle? I don't think I've ever solved one in less than 200 guesses and I keep seeing all these sub-50 scores

There some good opening words or what?

seconding this. If possible I'll try to look for was/are/he/she in the first paragraph to narrow down the subject a bit. Use/uses/used is another good one that someone mentioned earlier in this thread, and "new" is a common word+appears in names of places like New York/Zealand

I was struggling with today's for a while until I tried "food" and then cuisine->meal->dessert

cuisine also frequently shows up as a header in topics about countries or inhabited places.

For Redactle, I've tended to start with directions (east / western / etc.) and countries to try and get a lead on something before. It helps on occasion.

Today I was super annoyed because I kept dancing around the answer by naming off many things related to it but not just dumbing it down in my head. 83 guesses, could have been worse.

We'll have one entire section labelled "for degenerates"
History is a good one, because there usually is a history section; it references a book called The History of X; or there could be a related topic called history of the same topic. If there's a parenthesis in the first paragraph, that could refer to what the topic is in its original language. Then I guess you could start by naming academic disciplines. Animal or book also seem to work, but they could drive you down a dead end.

Today’s Wordle took me absolutely forever but redactle was one of my quickest.

I really like redactle. Something about it makes me feel like I’m solving some mysterious puzzle left by a lost civilization.

I just started Redactle and it’s taken me 88 and 115 to solve my first two

Today’s was hard because pretty early on I knew it was food related and guessed “food” and only got 4 hits. So I thought it must be about agriculture or medicine but no

Seems simple in retrospect
