A CYOA detective FMV game that looks pretty interesting, but I haven't played it yet. Apparently has a good soundtrack and solid acting. Mostly Positive reviews (184 to 54)

I've been interested in this one since I found out that it's by the same person who made 428: Shibuya Scramble, which I liked a lot. The only negative review I was able to see pertains to DMCA problems for steamers, not the quality of the game itself. Fifty bucks is kinda steep, though.

Overall, various kinds of contents such as activities, regions, items, and characters will be improved and increased.
In the full version, the player will have a richer experience.
It will also put an end to the various kinds of stories that have been going on.
We also plan to support more languages.

What is the current state of the Early Access version?

Very steep. I can report that it's well-produced and has a great look and pretty fun mechanism for solving mysteries. Although I haven't gotten far. But yeah, 30 would seem more reasonable. Not a lot of gameplay, but in the scenarios 'fail states' are possible so you have to eventually get it right. May be mainly aimed at a Japanese audience I'm thinking. I'd say it's an impressive game so far but only for players who really like stuff like this, and maybe wait for sale is reasonable.

I gotta say I like it a lot, especially compared to most games like this. I'm surprised at how interesting the characters are, even if you can definitely tell it's foreign as some of the translations are a little awkward and it's lacking a bit of polish; voice would be amazing for example. But so far I'm more or less enthralled. It's adorable and makes you want to keep fulfilling one more quest.

Also Furi: Onnamusha dropped. A dlc for a great game from like 2016

Leave your boring city job behind to return to your family home in Port APICO and get back to your beekeeping roots.

Set in a series of lush environments, APICO uniquely combines resource gathering, biology, and beekeeping minigames, taking ideas from a mix of real-life and fantasy apiculture & floriculture.

On your journey you'll rediscover lost species, cross-breed new bees, and help repopulate the islands.

Has a pretty full-featured demo if you want to check it out. Also supports multiplayer. Full release, not early access, apparently they already had a beta for it. They say on the Steam forum that "Game length can be around 40+ hours if you were just to only focus on collecting every bee to get to the end." Only six reviews right now, all positive.

V Rising is a fun, stylish vampire craft-em-up game that has just come out into early access. It's old school server-based big stupid multiplayer with a whole hell of a lot of good ideas going into it- one of my favourite little notes is that the action for sorting items in inventory into containers is called "Compulsively Count." Game seems very fun, makers clearly know their audience and have done their research, goon server here. I've personally found the singleplayer experience quite satisfying but a bit on the light side, but I'm only an hour in and haven't even unlocked any of the vampire power trees.

I'm 9 hours into APICO and I've just realized I need to stop playing. It makes me extraordinarily tense; I'm rushing frantically to make frames for my beehives which are filling far more rapidly than I can make frames or process the honey and oh yeah I forgot to check if the storekeeper has X in stock, because he only sometimes has it in stock, it's a rotating item that changes randomly every 10 minutes, and oh right I'm out of wood resin better go make more so I can make the frames...

You may not feel this way; I find the game both grindy and tense. Contrast, say, Stardew Valley, which feels loping and relaxed. Don't get to it today? Okay, there's tomorrow. By contrast, in APICO you can't even get a bed until you buy it for 100 [cute game currency name].

I played through the ORX demo campaign and enjoyed it quite a bit. After beating Slay the Spire I had an itch for something different with cards and this scratches it, I'm going to buy the full release when it's out.
The demo has 4 missions with a boss mob in the last one, and different routes you can take depending on your card upgrading choices, a good 2 hours of gameplay for one run.

Seconding this, V Rising is excellent and you can chose yourself if you want a pve or pvp experience (if you want to play with others at all, which I do recommend). Since bosses unlock technology and abilities on defeat, you often get inpromptu groups at bosses on PvE servers for the harder bosses, which is a mechanic I thoroughly enjoy in any game. The dev team is responsive, too. On PvP servers, you can raid one anothers castles too, if that is more your kind of thing.

I also like that nothing that drops is useless. There's a use for anything you might find, and as you require higher-"level" items, cosmetic items such as floors and walls for your castle will start using the items you previously needed for equipment, so it never becomes entirely useless either.

Bought it the day it became open beta, have racked up 47 hours played thus far. Can't but recommend it.

(I'd have killed for a Legacy of Kain remake with this engine, is all I'm saying.)

Remember every time you level up you can retry all the skill checks that hang around. Don't be afraid to abuse the clothing system for one check. And don't be afraid to fail checks either. Some of the best scenes in the game happen on a failed check. As the game progresses hard mission critical checks get easier so don't worry about them too much.
