tbf I for one can’t name a bad Jeff Jarrett match, on account of being so thoroughly spoiled for choices that it’s impossible to settle on only one

"And the DICK?"

His infamous Raven match was the first one I thought of

And the mercy seat is awaiting,
And I think my head is burning,
And in a way I'm yearning,
To be done with all this measuring of proof.
An eye for an eye
And a tooth for a tooth,
And anyway I told the truth,
And I'm not afraid to die.
Jeff Jarrett v Raven

Edit: beaten

OK literally every King of the Mountain match

Jarrett is a fine midcarder with a silly gimmick. He's just not a main eventer and never should have been.

That's unfair.

They still do them, so he's not even in a lot of them!

Presumably it’s the person behind those two (I think, was there a third?) twitter accounts that popped up last year claiming to have bought the rights to WCW and be on the verge of bringing back the company before getting hammered by WWE lawyers because duh.

These guys are really fixated on the viewership numbers for the debut episode as some kind of own on AEW, but for pretty much every TV show the highest rated episodes are debuts and finales.

Cavauro
Jan 9, 2008

that's only true of shows that have some buzz before airing. if you were a piece of crap nothing to start with and slowly built an audience like wwf and wcw then they bootstrapped their way all the way up and back down. aew was able to build a name and hype due to smartketing (smart marketing) on the online, which is a bad thing

He is a poo poo midcarder too whose only good match was being carried by Shawn Michaels at the second In Your House.

Wwe marks will seize upon literally anything to try to knock AEW because they view aew’s existence as a personal attack because they view the thing they like as a representation of themselves

I am extremely amused by all the people simping for triple h in that promo as he talks about how he’s working to make the place better, and wwe then went on to do their worst ratings ever, selling less tickets than ever before, and losing interest from the vast majority of former fans

compare that clip to the mcmahon family coming out a few years back being like "we know constable corbin sucks, here's 6 NXT call-ups and we promise to give you what you want" and nothing changed

a good alternate history scenario: what if Eric Bischoff never entered the wrestling business? Would WCW still be alive today?

Probably not - If WCW didn't get super hot during 96 and during the NWO I could see it easily getting sold or closed when Time Warner buys Turner

They may have survived til the Time Warner merger just on Ted Turner's good graces but they probably wouldn't have beaten WWF in the ratings if Bischoff hadn't been there to steal the idea for the NWO from a New Japan show

This might be one of the most WWE Brain Worms review of and Indy Fed I have ever seen. On the bright side, at least they didn't leave a rating. I showed it to my GF and her opinion was "Do they know it's not real?"

So was every match at this indie show 2 minutes long, all ended in DQs and Rollups, and between every match there was 25 minutes of commercials for butt cream or whatever?

Besides obviously being involved in Company business she was the key point woman in dealing with Tom Cole when they settled with him and was also the one that fired him later (Only for them to try and settle again when she ran for Senate).

I wonder how annoyed Vince is that he didn't run for political office instead of Linda. He could have taken the Trump slot and become president. They thought they had to distance themselves from all their poo poo lmfao.
