Ishimori can be very hit or miss depending on how much effort he decides to put in but he's been great in this tournament after a dire opening match

If Ishimori retains against the BOSJ winner, Kanemaru would be a good opponent for the little meaningless Korakuen tour before the G1

if they do this kanemaru should win and have one of those title reigns like when fale and yujiro held the ic and never through an entire g1 before dropping them back to nakamura and ishii without a v1.

tjp's work in the us on strong mostly left me cold but he's been solid here

i was half wrong. fale indeed dropped the ic back to nakamura without a sucessful defense as i knew because the only ic match not involving nakamura from the time he won the belt the first time until he jumped ship in the wake of 1/5/16 happened when sombra retained vs. volador in arena mexico.

completely forgot about this tho, and tbf i doubt a yujiro vs 2014 yoshi-hashi match was particularly memorable for at least any positive reasons. i know i watched the show as i remember the okada vs mgka main.

They are both so technically crisp.

I've watched Robbie a long time and he's always been quite good but he's gone up another level since working with nipw. I put it down to hanging out with ishii

i forget if it was inb this thread or elsewhere someone pointed this out but it blew my mind to find out that wato's younger than yuta by a few months. we've been watching him for years and everyone's (rightfully!) been hyping yuta as an exciting young star with a ton of potential aew's handling well.

edit: even tho i tweeted this years ago and bear in mind that would've been the ages of the old dudes then.

Like that Despy hit him with his and it didn't get the pin, Wato leaps up ready to fight and Despy's reaction is,"Well let's see if he can do that AGAIN!" and.... he couldn't!
