i'm glad after a bunch of niche indie titles housemarque finally managed to get a modicum of financial success with returnal, it really seemed like they were floundering for a bit there (at one point they were prepared to throw a hail mary pass at the battle royale genre just to get some cash going)

I figure Forbidden West is coming to PC eventually anyway but now Returnal is, it has to be. And it has to mean Ragnarok'll be on PC eventually. Sony wants that big PC port money.

Didn't love it quite as much as Resogun but it's still a top-class arcade game. I'm not Sony's biggest fan but I'm very appreciative that they gave those guys an actual budget for Returnal, I was expecting the studio to fold after that battle royal announcement lol

If Returnal comes to steam it better have the full Dualsense support it has on PS5, because it's honestly one of the best uses of the controller on the platform.

Sony recently started providing a Windows firmware updater for the Dualsense so there's some interest there in better supporting it on PC Maybe a custom driver to enable full functionality over Bluetooth will come later

Get ready to enjoy the fun of choice paralysis as you load 20 games on the deck and can't ever figure out which one to play. I was playing some State of Decay 2 and it runs great but drat that 40fps system update can't come fast enough. SoD2 can run at 60 a lot of the time but it does dip down to like the way upper 40's so being able to lock it at a nice stable 40 would be great.

Sniper Elite 5 seems perfectly cromulent so far. I'm always torn between silently working my way through these levels and just sniping the gently caress out of everything while they take potshots at me from far away and usually end up doing the latter. I probably won't play this for any appreciable amount of time but I'm looking forward to trying co-op with a friend for a couple hours. Edit: Although I am reading up on this Invasions thing (which, btw, you "get double" XP for enabling meaning if you turn it off you're essentially losing XP) and it sounds kinda poo poo. You're of the shoot and scoot scout variety most of the time. Less assassin, more infiltrator and saboteur. For that role staying in the same spot is death.
