I'm not trying to be unhelpful or contrarian but I have an art degree and I am lucky enough to have one of the best jobs a professional artist of my genre could wish for. I earn more money than I ever though I would and I feel lucky every day. If my daughter wants to go to art school I'll be thrilled.

(because school is essentially free here)

I went to college for supply chain/ music composition so I can always have a job and spend free time fooling around in music

also will be helpful supplementing my kid’s music education but she told me this morning she wants to be a ….DJ

I guess I can just go over tonal/sonic/rhythm qualities of songs to be a DJ.

my dream room for my kid to explore music would be this

Magnetic is only a problem if there's something it can magnetize with, eg another magnet. What we're afraid of is them getting stuck together across two different parts of the intestine.

My kid was recently bumped up to the 'school age' group at his daycare (different building) without any of his friends, and he also just started little league as the youngest player on his team (ages 4-7). He's really struggling with the transitions. Just general unease at the changes plus he went from being the competent big kid to the novice munchkin in a whole bunch contexts and his little four year old ego is hurting bigtime.

The Russians used a hat

But seriously sunscreen has a bunch of nasty poo poo in it that gets in our blood and has barely been studied for safety. If you do use sunscreen look into mineral based ones.

regardless of what you put on your kid the best is any sunscreen you put on, even the crap performing ones on consumers reports. I also have been using hats for my lily white child who burns easily. she has a mask tan now but she doesn’t mind.

Trader Joe’s spray is one of the best but you really don’t want to spray it on kids since they’ll inhale it. if I must ,I apply it like I do deet, spray on hands away from kid and then apply by hand
