It may not surprise you that the comments section of FOA are downright barren because as a strip it does not appeal to the weirdos who go deep into commenting on newspaper comics online and the remainder are either "I just straight up do not understand this strip, why is it in papers" or "heh internet".

Frazz, the strip where he constantly talks about how magic and life-affirming running is but the artist routinely struggles with depicting this. Panel after panel of this dude with one foot firmly planted on the ground and all his weight placed firmly on that foot while the other leg flaps in the air.

Also everybody's doing jazz hands constantly to dress up the fact that it's a "two heads talking in a void" strip.

Frazz is among the worst.

You forgot to mention that the art has somehow gotten far worse than it was when the comic first started.

Yeah, Frazz is independently wealthy from some song he wrote, which is relevant to the strip approximately 0% of the time.

the most reliable encyclopedia in the world posted:

Japan

In Japan, bacon (ベーコン)[18] is pronounced "bēkon". It is cured and smoked belly meat as in the US, and is sold in either regular or half-length sizes. Bacon in Japan is different from that in the US in that the meat is not sold raw, but is processed, precooked and has a ham-like consistency when cooked.[19] Uncured, sliced pork belly, known as bara (バラ), is very popular in Japan and is used in a variety of dishes (e.g. yakitori and yakiniku).
Can't help you with why it got par-boiled before he did anything else to it, though.

Yeah, here it's pork belly rather than cured bacon as such. Mostly I went with "bacon" so it would fit better in Q-Rais' extremely narrow speech bubbles.
