They were only available in like 20 stores in the entire US or something insanely low like that, it was during COVID so less people going out, and you had to pay $30 for one random "&" promo Rare/Mythic.

I like magic cards. I have even bought quite a few secret lairs because I like shiny or weird cards. I won't pay a huge markup for a thing I don't want in a *checks notes* sleek foam fitted case.

Yeah I blow plenty of money cracking packs from new sets because the GF and I enjoy the hunt and homebrewing. I buy Secret Lairs that I think are cool, and I buy sealed product to resell at a profit at a later date. I throw a lot of money at dumb hobbies. The B&G stuff is just bonkers though. I see they didn't sell out of their $500 backpack and some deck boxes bundle from Neon Kamigawa yet.

That has the same sort of problems in terms of the mana ability revealing information.

I'm pretty sure rewinding game state to intentionally reach a result due to quirks of how rewinding works is not actually something judges would accept in a tournament even if the rules write it out that way. At least, that is the conclusion to a really old question I remember being sent in to a judge podcast at one point. The question was about these cards: It was basically asking, assuming that you had a creature you wanted to get rid of for whatever reason (like Dark Confidant when you're at 1 life), was it legal to attempt to cast Altar's Reap on your opponent's end step with no mana available. He pointed out in the rulebook that it instructs players to pay all non-mana costs for spells first before paying mana, which means you would sacrifice Dark Confidant first, and then upon reaching the step of casting a spell where they would need to spend mana, they would be unable to produce the mana and then rewind the game state to before attempting to cast the spell. However, Wheel puts the creature on the bottom of library when sacrificed, and once in the library the creature is in a hidden zone, and they also pointed to the rule saying it was not possible to rewind a game state if things are moving between library and play like that, so if a rewind of game state were to take place you wouldn't rewind that zone change. The judges listening to the question said "if you tried to pull this at a real event, the judges would just DQ you." Judging policy at the time the question was asked is different since it's been over 10 years I think, but I feel like generally speaking you're still not allowed to take advantage of corner cases of rules on rewinding actions to reach a game state that you wouldn't normally be able to reach.

If it's the same card as the commander card isn't this the first time that Aminatou will be in modern? And in non foil. What the chance that an admittedly color difficult 3 mana planswalker will cause issues.

It won't be modern legal, Double Masters reprints are still only legal in the formats they were in already EDIT: With the exception that if a reprint's rarity changes to common then it becomes legal in pauper
