It's really more of a Viacom being notoriously cheap and licensing out their games to an equally cheap publisher, but relenting after not only criticism, but the Multiversus alpha kinda eating its lunch. Also some of the characters had to be recast

You can still try to refund a months-long game bought I believe, but it's like an appeal process and I'm not sure that "well it's free now on your competitor's platform" will cut it as a valid refund reason :\
