I mean, you eat brats in the same manner you eat a hot dog (mid-sized sausage on a bun for a platform, etc) and those are traditionally served with kraut. Many other sausages also get served with cabbage of various styles too. Having a hot-dog style sausage with it isn't odd imo.

...goes better on brats than hot dogs though

Best, though, on grilled smoked kielbasa

Hot dogs in France were just...hot dogs on baguette, or even a roll. Don't remember Gruyere (although it sounds tasty!)...but it's been 45-years.

Do you guys use Italian buns up north? They ALWAYS use huge Italian buns here and I hate it so much. I have to rip off a few inches of it to have a decent meat/bun ratio.

Correct. But if it's straight up "build it yourself" without anything fancy done to the ingredients, then "unconstructed" is a better description

Michigan dog is incorrect. A true coney dog would also have onions.

That's basically a pyttipannu, which is a popular dish in Finland and Sweden.

It's good!

A more advanced version is the "makkaraperunat" (sausage potatoes), which is a popular and VERY unhealthy grill food.

It's french fries, pieces of sausage and onion, slathered with ketchup, mustard, mayo and other good crap.

Once again- that is not food, and those fries are gonna get soggy as hell.

allergic to chicken too :v:

If I can get permission from my wife to waste a bit of venison I will make that monstrosity and try it (with pics/video of course). I'm precooking the venison though because I don't want to die.

Edit: Oh god I just noticed the heavy cream is chunky. I don't think I'll put chunky and spoiled heavy cream in it either.

People say bigger is better.

But for the first time in my life, I think I've gone too far.
It's nowhere as bad as the twitter post made it seem. It's basically steps removed from a stuffed flatbread made with a lot of dairy. Something to try, but not go out of your way to make.

Soiled Meat
It's just savory crumpets. Replace the ground beef with diced ham or salami or sausage and it's going to be fine, except for the absurd amount of salt.

I just don't know what to think about the meat. There's no way the burger's cooking in the time it takes to cook batter from the outside, right?

Honestly one of the things that hit me the most about was the using of an actual “teaspoon” as a measuring device.

I'd say the biggest concern is the consistency of that "heavy cream." Maybe it's just a regional thing or something, but that looks like yoghurt or sour cream.

It's very funny that they're using ketchup, mustard as sauces (to be slathered) and not condiments (to be used sparingly)

Like who the gently caress wants a mouthful of yellow mustard, and on fries of all things :ughh:
