steinrokkan posted:Soup is the opium of the masses, designed to trick you into feeling fed when in truth you mostly just drank some water, so that the fat cats can hoard all the real food for themselves. Same. I don't dislike soup, but I have absolutely never thought "gee, I really want soup right now and nothing else will do." I wouldn't eat it in this guy's position, but not because of preference. Rather, because I'm not gonna eat anything given to me by some unknown rando who leaves weird notes. That's how you get gut nanites or cursed by a wizard. Killingyouguy! posted:I think you have to apply for access Iirc you can download the project and model from GitHub and set it up yourself. That would also let you bypass the limits they imposed to keep it from generating horrifying pornography.

This way you end up eating a ton of bread and are actually satisfied afterwards unlike with soup which is a drink and not filling.

Soup is good, stew is good, and this is a manufactured conflict. Instead of propagating it you should be focusing on who stands to gain from tearing them both down

LifeSunDeath posted:i'm into dry soup tbh Dry ramen is honestly not bad. Crunch up the noodles against the edge of a table or something, pour the flavoring packet in, and shake. I mean, it's not good but it's about like eating kinda salty chips and not a terrible way to get some calories if you're both cheap/poor and not someplace you can really do so much as boil water. There's a reason I always had a brick of ramen in my desk at grad school.

That sounds grim as gently caress, not gonna lie Like powdery flavoured dust I think I'd eat ramen with cold water before I ate it dry like that

Actually had a buddy introduce that to me as "Trailer Park Ramen" while we were both working in a restaurant. It's not ideal, but it's not bad if you really don't have time to sit and eat, and need something you can bring around with you if needed.
