Still *mostly* hedge funds and poo poo that won't really affect anything. Like even at the fake market cap numbers crypto is way less money than the 2008 real estate bubble. OTOH crypto is going down because it looks like we're heading for a recession or at least large market correction so people are moving out of speculative assets. So if the economy tanks that's not an I told you so, bitcoin was just the canary in the coal mine.

I feel bad for the relatively innocent people whom saw crypto as a way to get out from needing to worry about money. I know every sane person has been screaming at the top of their lungs at them pointing out the obvious scam, but still, the pity is there. Never not gonna be laughing at the true believers however.
