It’s one thing for the chatbot to respond to the question “do you get lonely” with “yes, but it’s different” and the computer actually exhibiting evidence of feelings or emotions of loneliness. What happens when you let 2 chatbots converse? What do they conjure between themselves with no human input. Where does the conversation go? What conclusions are reached? What new ideas and thinking did they contain. Seems like a simpler test to run to check the power of your ai rather than leading it down a conversation about sentience and being amazed that it gives you the result you were gunning for?

The chatbot transcripts remind me of a manager I once had. Every word she said came off as though it was calculated to be "correct". In my experience sapience and self awareness has always seemed to be pretty variable in Humans.
