That's exceptionally scummy.

Joe Arpaio lost in court and needed a Trump pardon, so that's kinda good news.

Alright having managed to track down a ripped version of the interview with the LA Times, which was October 2021, it specifically said Pink Cat had the makings of a Gen Z Garfield and also the account had 240k followers on Instagram which is like, yeah that's a good amount of people but if you're in the sigma grind hustle mindset that's really on the low end of things considering how Instagram works and how loving mercurial and predatory it is. I'm not gonna say that's not nothing, that's clearly something, but the article also reads like it's just a piece talking about a local artist that got mildly popular in a big place like California and is unknown pretty much everywhere else.

And in TYOOL 2022 their number of followers on Instagram has grown to 241K so it's not like they've exploded since.

I talked to someone and what the deal is apparently when I set up the account 10 or so years ago the two day or express option was selected on the account. This is the first time I've used it in years (i went and looked and the last order was so long ago it isn't listed in the history) and I didn't recall that. The shipping was "estimated" at the time of order and they used that old setting to set up shipping when it came into stock. I'll take part of the blame, however the cost should've been given to me before the item charged and shipped. I can't think of another online retailer who manages shipping preferences in this way. So, pay attention to your settings if you decide to order from them.

Miles has joined the rarified company of the New Teen Titans lineup where the comics version of his poo poo is arguably the worst version

the difference is he has a successful movie and video game for bright spots, whereas the Titans have a cartoon, and then a cartoon that is a parody of their first cartoon

The only thing I know about the core Miles Morales book, other than his bad new costume, is that he has a nonverbal clone that is goopy like Venom, yet he still treats him better than Peter treats Ben and Kaine

Dec 26, 2012

I still think the record for the overall worst treatment of spider-clones goes to Ultimate Spider-man, where one issue after multiple clones of spider-man are revealed doctor octopus murders one of them (who is actively assisting spider-man) on-panel in front of Peter and nobody ever seems to care beyond 'oh no, doctor octopus is more dangerous than we thought!' because although he was a teenager he had extra arms and weird spider-hair so it doesn't count.

Fiction sometimes treats clones like meat robots without souls, and they more often than not just appear fully grown (or at the same age as the original), are totally verbal, and sometimes even have the same memories as the original. In actuality a clone is just basically a twin. I think Marvel had Peter's clone crumble to dust at the end of the original clone saga

No he dumped the body in a smoke stack, unless you mean the 90s series, yeah I think Ben Reilly like melted or something. But Ben had been shown to be a separate person by that point.
