There's a whiff of desperation in there, that they know they need to sign up other people in order to get the 'bonus' or whatever like an MLM pawn doing the math and realizing that they either need to take a bath or go in harder. Mail theft, identity theft, whatever it takes to get their head above water. Nugen is absolutely selling PII on whatever shady marketplace there is for that poo poo. The thing that gets me about all the exchanges shutting down withdrawls and such, is that it must be generating a huge head of panic behind that dam. Can you imagine your bank refusing you access to your money for whatever reason? The hot second they open up again I'd yoink every red cent out of there and stuff it in my mattress. Celsius, Bitfinwhatever, all those exchanges that have 'paused' withdrawls can't possibly unfreeze them because the moment they do there'll be an avalanche of people who have freaked out and want cash in hand vs. yo-yo funbucks

if he's buying the shitcoins for you as a gift, he's the C that they have to K in KYC. so he's definitely trying to scam you. if he's asking you to trust him more and is upset that you aren't trusting him more, that's definitely confirmation. just say no to everything, even very innocuous things like taking in packages, and make sure any guests or family members are clued in. he's dumb enough that he's probably going to get caught soon if he's had any success so you want to avoid providing him any freedom liquidity, if you catch my drift.

I'm a bad liar and would just outright say that the whole thing sounds like a scam. I had a neighbor try to sell me on a gold scam a few years ago. I declined and I respectfully argued that it's a scam. Stand up for yourself. You're doing the right thing if you call it out. They're going to either knowingly or unknowingly scam other people.
