trader joe's near my place has had remarkably stable prices. the safeway not so much. they were competitive before on pricing and now tj's is beating safeway w/ superior products pretty consistently

I get takeout like twice a month maybe and cook everything else myself. My grocery bill has doubled in the last year or two and I don't really do anything different. If anything I eat less meat now

im pretty sure my insurance would pay for it all, even without hitting my deductible and stuff. insurers generally don't want you to be fat. idk how much of this is general insurance and how much is google having good policies though

i have mcdonalds on my phone. it's pretty great. for a while you could get bogo double cheeseburgers. if you buy enough nuggies and mcburgers you get points to like free 1/4 lbers. for getting the app i got a free big mac that i could have gotten every day for a month because whenever i used it the coupon just reloaded the next day until the expiration date. the golden big mac.

I don’t have a gall bladder so I have to eat pretty lean and relatively small portion sizes, but it’s worked out great for keeping weight off at the start of the pandemic I had finally had enough of dealing with the side effects of not watching my fat and dairy intake and since I was home and could cook as frequently as I needed to, I was able to make the change and immediately dropped from 210lbs to 160lbs I’m 6’ so relatively skinny now. downside is I gotta figure out what to do now that I’m trying to build muscle

I’ve spent the last two years learning how to cook a lot of Asian cuisine because it’s usually pretty low fat and high protein, and that’s really changed things for me in so many ways it’s insane that I used to put up with it

The "preferred" weight loss in both cases was basically a series of articles and a webforum pasted onto a meal tracking app that doesn't interface with apple health at all.
