I still really like the first one but the stuntwork in the Chris McQuarrie ones is so drat good that it dwarfs everything else. Can't wait for the next one. I saw Fallout in theaters and the helicopter and HALO jump scenes work even better on the big screen.

started watching the Anne of green gables anime. takahata wrote and directed it and miyazaki did some bg work on it before they started ghibli and it’s pretty good for a chill watch. the story of how the book became popular in post-war Japan is interesting. a young orphan finding success and being able to express themselves freely in a ridged society was something a lot of young people identified with at the time. the whole series is on youtube https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL0A3btqyajzRnmKT7N1a7ltbDjr7ZG5V0
