easily 60% of the people in highland park will tell you they moved out there to get away from all the crime and violence in the city, by which they mean one time they saw a homeless guy. it is not the richest chicago suburb, for that you would want nearby lake forest, but it is in the conversation. so as far as analogues go the closest one in recent memory is the Parkland school shooting
