Actually watching Hap go on a bender was pretty good too. Demonic Toys is what Puppet Master could have been... Octy fucked around with this message at 04:26 on Jul 3, 2022 |

i would deffo see Crimes of the Future in a theater if you can, it's got very big cinema shots and boomy silences that really would not have been nearly as effective on a smaller screen

Hmmm okay. maybe I'll give it a shot then. Heard a lot of mixed things.

It can feel a little aimless because it’s not like a plot driven thriller, but it’s an incredibly vividly rendered world with a number of unforgettable moments. Some great performances too.

The Frank Darabont version of The Mist is on netflix again and it's for my money the best adapted Stephen King property ever made.

Watch the B&W version of The Mist, y'all. Not only do the effects look way better, but it changes the entire mood to make it creepier and more ethereal. Last time I looked it was for rent a couple places like Vudu.

Finally stopped putting it off and watched The Card Counter which absolutely fucks, incredibly good movie to watch this 4th of July weekend before celebrating our dying empire If you like them slow, meandering and haunted this is not one to miss (not sarcasm)

Time Babes felt like it was originally written as a porno and had an outstanding performance by Ian Abercrombie (Mr. Pitt of Seinfeld fame). Brian Bremer looked really familiar but I don't recognise any of his acting credits.

Under the dome was so bad. But the book sucked too so whatever. Darabont's The Mist is amazing and I love how so many of those folks made it into the first season of the walking dead. I still wonder how good that show could have been if darabont wasn't fired. Because it sure went to poo poo *immediately*

Watched all of The Bear this weekend. Man, it's great, but Hulu needs to not have it classified as comedy. It's definitely drama.

Thanks to everyone who recommended RRR. Several times I thought 'well, that's the peak for how insane a movie can get...' and I kept being wrong. With 'The Bear' I need someone to explain part to me So it turns out that the brother borrowed 300k and hid it in tomato cans... so Bear is basically at even because he still owes the gangster 300k, but the plan is to use the 300k to refit the place and make it good, so they can make enough to pay off the 300k? I feel like I missed something.

thanks to this thread for recommending Barry. good rear end show. umbrella academy season 3 just bummed me out because i kept wishing it was better. oh well i guess they get another shot next season. speaking of shows that start off strong and fizzle, i think i'm gonna rewatch all of true blood soon.

I've tried I think 4 times to watch True Blood in it's entirety but I always seem to tap out once Bill turns into vampire Jesus. First three seasons are so loving good tho.
