im torn on the one hand I don't really give a gently caress about stav on the other hand its kind of fun and feels like the fanbase's logical next step for us to have an ex-cohost who we all poo poo on now. like that's part of the growing process, it seems disingenuous to ignore it in truth we follow our host and friend, Adam Friedland, so whatever he says I'll go with

i think it's weird that everyone's suddenly making GBS threads on him as if they always hated him, but never said anything while he was on the show, so for that reason i think it's stupid. however, i do encourage everyone to report on what nick passive aggressively says about him in each episode.

i never visited them or the subreddit but that's what i've heard, that people were unironically making GBS threads on adam and stav for things nick said over the years stav grated on me early on when i first started listening, then slowly grew on me like lots of other people. since covid started it's been weird though, and the strict one hour recordings seemed like they just weren't having fun. it's amazing how happy and creatively driven nick and adam seem to be, moreso than even at the very beginning

My gay post about Stav: Stav made the show funnier by being the laugh track and was open to riffing with Nick, or going to cartoon dream to imagine levels that Nick could make fun of. Yeah, the past year or two we saw Stav disgruntled and unfunny, but the man was a part of some of the best bits.

I don't hate him, it's just super funny to watch him attempt a complete 180 into trying to become a mainstream comedian. When he first started posting standup clips it was cool and I subscribed to him, but even before he left it was all starting to become samey. His channel is already beginning to repost old clips from a couple months ago except with a wacky thumbnail. More importantly, TAFS achieving the kind of success Stav left the show to pursue would be incredibly hilarious which is why some of us are talking about it.

years ago (2017?) I was at a bar in DC and I didn't listen to the show yet but I knew Stav's laugh and I heard it from behind me I went up to him to say hello and he seemed excited to get recognized and we shook hands but I was kind of drunk and I said "I'd know that dumbass laugh anywhere" and he promptly stormed out onto U St I've felt bad about that for years
