DDT Summer Vacation July 24th MOTYC 37KAMIINA (MAO and ASUKA) (c) vs Kazusada Higuchi and Naomi Yoshimura - KO-D Teag Team Championship - Adore Mao and Asuka as a duo, they can do not wrong by me. Fantastic teamwork by the champions, and Higuchi/Yoshimura were great at remaining vulnerable whilst completely outmatching 37K physically. Last 5 minutes especially were on another level, DDT's Tag Division is phenominal HM Tetsuya Endo, Jun Akiyama and Chris Brookes vs Yukio Sakaguchi, Soma Takao and HARASHIMA - Hell yeah, Endo is back baby Masa Takanashi (c) vs Yusuke Okada - DDT Universal Championship - Both these guys are great and this was a very good match, just didn't grab me like it could have Also Makoto Oishi's return match was hilarious. First match in over a year after breaking his neck, and his partner Hirata gets pinned before Oishi can finish making his entrance

I went into this match after watching Shingo/Juice and just couldn't get into it thinking the clap crowds just ruin it for me. Then this match happened. Holy poo poo it was great! And I'll add that the way this match was shot was super cool. The ringside cameras shooting up meant the sweat flying off these guys on strikes was visible in the lights. Added a whole lot to it!

Dammit, how the hell did I fall so behind again? Even with all I watched this week I still have 7 tabs open with shows I want to watch at least one match from Ganbare Pro Bakuretsu Burst City July 17th MOTYC Ken Ohka, Koki Iwasaki, Sayaka Obihiro and Mizuki Watase vs Yumehito Imanari, Soma Takao, Sayaka and Taison Maeguchi - Wow, these guys worked their asses off in front of 80 people on a nothing show. Not as flat out insane as the elimination match NOAH put on for their N-1 prologue last year, but still well worth making the time to watch. Definitely a little self-indugent, there's really no reason they had to go 45 minutes, but I was engrossed the whole time HM Keisuke Ishii and Shota vs Shinichiro Tominaga and Shuichiro Katsumura - I have no idea what was happening here, just that it made me giggle a bunch

That's fair but in terms of being a comedy undercarder/jobber to the stars with a royalty gimmick the unearned arrogance fits and I think on the whole her gimmick no longer has the dissonance it had because it retained a lot of her Japanese character.

MOTYC: David Finlay vs. Juice Robinson, NJPW G1 Climax Night 6, 26/07 Massively groaned when I first saw this main eventing in the schedule but they took me from not giving a poo poo to being totally invested and got me caring about Finlay for the first time ever, fantastic stuff
