This is pretty interesting. So in Black Panther 2, Namor is the villain and the MCU version of the Atlanteans is going to be based on Mayan culture and aesthetics. Republic of Lucha is saying that two very well known luchadors (not Penta/Fenix) were originally going to be in the cast, heavily implying Rush was one of them along with another well known masked lucha. Not sure who the masked one is, they may be exaggerating the fame of them. If it’s not Fenix/Penta, the most well known masked lucha in the world is undoubtedly Rey Mysterio. If it’s someone more on Rush’s level of fame it could be way more people.

Wait, if they dropped out 2 years ago or so, I would think that casting decisions would no longer be under an NDA since it did not happen. Storyline is one thing until the movie comes out but would casting fall under that?

I would imagine Disney has pretty long term and legally binding NDAs outside of normal professional standards that it would be smart not to gently caress with
