Generally, the quality of a Thread is inversely correlated with the amount of posts. Unsurprisingly, the two Star Trek threads are the worst of TVIV.

Probably something mundane and boring which pretty much anyone will go through, like being nervous at a first date, or scrapping together food and water in a world ravaged by climate change. Fun stuff.
He would probably build a giant Truman Show style studio where he has full control over the climate, only to make it a copy of the Nevada desert. But that's just what first dates are like.

hahaha if they did, would definitely not care to watch that kind of show. Second of all, loving the idea of sitting through Finding Frances taking it as a straightforward "find unconnected person from past" show lol

I liked that they found Frances but I don’t understand why the other guy was there meeting up with an escort. Had nothing to do with Frances.

extremely unfun thread for an extremely fun show, good work everyone.

It was disappointing not seeing the logistics of them setting up everything with all of the child actors, the preparation stuff in NFY was always great.

possible episode 3 spoilers:

Some guy on reddit found the number guy's instagram account and messaged him. he says he nearly got into a fight with Nathan on set. For the sake of all that is holy I hope this encounter will be in the next episode

And on that note, there is a bunch of screenshots on twitter/reddit of that one guy's socials doing the rounds. Mods, are you ok with re-posting stuff like that here? I mean it's doxxing, but also it's everywhere else on the net

I think there's a difference between somebody self-identifying on twitter as X person or knowing X person from reality TV (ie the brother who did that) or whatever and a guy who most likely has some pretty significant MH issues getting his socials dug out of the trashcan by internet nerds and responding to their private message bait (and it was definitely bait, the person played up the Christian angle) - then those (private) conversations get posted online.

Not saying I really care one way or another, just want to avoid the dreaded sixer. Sixer city in here. Haha.

The whole first episode was really just a ploy to introduce us to the replica bar set.

Simple solution: Use one of those automated crying baby dolls they give high schoolers to scare them from getting pregnant.

Advanced solution: Remote control a robot baby to cry when it will have maximum impact on the "parents" sleep.

Nathan solution: Hire a narcoleptic night owl sasquatch liaison theorist to remotely monitor an actual sleeping baby and replicate its crying levels and timing through a soundboard connected to a robot baby.

Nathan for You always had a problem with people doxxing the episode subjects. On one hand they chose/wanted to be on TV, but they're very real people. Not like most reality tv contestants that are trying to become public figures. I remember the escort from Finding Frances had to put out a statement that was basically "stop harassing me about my profession". I'm sure most of the other good looking women on that show received unwanted attention as well.

Even the NFY subreddit has a stickied post "stop posting personal information!"

bagger mcguirk sent me.

Howling with laughter at the insane contrivances Nathan comes up with and then groaning at posters itt doing galaxy-brain takes about what's 'real' or why Nathan is doing something crazy. It's a real shot/chaser combo and I can't imagine watching this show without also coming here afterward to see someone having an Ignatius J. Reilly-style meltdown about how Nathan was personally trying to trick them with some imagined extra layer of illusion.
