He had a lovely time and was extremely excited about going there. Every time I said we were going to the Doggy Park, he started running and saying AWOO WOO WOO

We had a dock diving competition this weekend and Scout came home with a new personal best distance of 18'5" and this fantastic picture of the swine belly flop. This is what she looks like before the awkward landing.

We didn’t win our division but it was our first time making it to finals and we beat the other Scout competing so I’m really proud of us  She’s gaining a foot each competition and sometimes each day of competition so we’ll be flying out of the pool in no time.

It feels like yesterday! Thank you for the lovely reminder of how much he's come on over the years Edit: a major change in the last 5 years, is back then, the poor little bear was terrified of loud noises, especially fireworks. We just had a major fireworks display a couple of hundred feet from my bedroom window, and he Did Not Care. The boy is so comfy he's not even bothered by unexpected explosions a few hundred feet away.

I am fairly sure those are freshly shorn male sheep (rams?) but holy poo poo those things are way more muscular than I would have thought.

Any animal that's bred for edibility will likely also have a decent amount of muscle. Also, well, any animal built to headbutt things.

Those are texel sheep, they have a mutation on their myostatin gene that makes them extremely lean and muscular. They are prized as rams to produce heavily muscled lambs for market when crossed over hardier ewes.

I like herding dogs like Corgis and Shepherds, but I don't have the energy to keep up with them or a herd of sheep or cattle for them to look after. So I merely admire them from afar at televised dog shows and tik tok clips.
