I like him and I feel better grabbing a starter when I can rather than waiting and fighting with those who already had more budget and less slots than me. Probably not the soundest decision but I like my team and feel like they are prepared to Win Now.

Vucevic just had a year where he would have been best used as a backup C who you didn't have to play more than 15 mpg for the 75% of the season when his shot was off. I guess it's worth gambling on the possibility he has a bounceback shooting year but on paper he's an offensive C who's never been particularly efficient and kind of fell off a cliff in his first post-30 season

But that doesn't speak to the sense of safety you get when you see 17 and 11 in the box score. Anyway, for sure an overpay but you live and you learn and you never stop chasing dudes you remember without scrolling down on their basketball reference.
