Intergender matches, cool mini games. Graphics looked good. Animations didn't look as stiff. Yup this is a day 1 buy for me.

That gameplay looks like what I'd expect at this point. I don't really care if it's not to modern console graphic standards. I just want it to be fun to play! The animations look a lot better than previous footage. I dearly hope this is good, but I'm a putz who's going to buy it as soon as it's available anyway, so my opinion does not matter.

I still think it's wild that even 2022 you can't simulate a full Survivor Series match in an official WWE game but MDickie made a game out of toothpicks and bubblegum that can have like 100 people in a ring filled with dozens of chairs and tables and everything's exploding and on fire and it runs perfectly smooth on the Switch.

At this point the thing I'm holding my breath on most is create-a-wrestler. I'm not expecting 2K-level creation tools and frankly with the slightly more exaggerated style the visuals here are going for it might be better off without them, but if the game doesn't have some form of CAW sharing it'll be a bummer.

At this point the biggest thing hurting the WWE games is that they've been stuck on the same tech since the PS2 era and desperately need to just start over from scratch on a new engine but that'll never happen unless WWE gives them like 4 years to do that and that'll never happen. Yukes outright said this was a big problem for them at the time.

(WWE 13 - 15 were good attempts) At the time, I remember Smackdown being considered a fun, flashy diversion from AKI and Fire Pro while waiting for the real stuff. But then THQ went with Yukes moving forward and that was that, and it slowly morphed into the mess of an engine it was that satisfied no one. I remember Smackdown Shut Your Mouth being so fast paced, you'd chokeslam guys and they'd already pop back up and be hitting you with punches before you completed your choke slam animation.

My favorite stuff from the older games was when they started doing branching storylines depending on if you won or lost. I think No Mercy was the first one to do it. My favorite version was Here Comes the Pain and Shut Your Mouth.

You just do the same stuff over and over again with one small change at some point. It gets very boring and annoying.

Yeah, you're not counting a 2 person ladder match, a 3 person ladder match, a 4 person ladder match, etc as different types. The number goes up to double digits with that, a lot more to count! I had to use my fingers to help
