Anyone catch this week's Tuesday episode before it was taken down? It was other gods in the Hades art style, but it was taken down because the guest didn't do any research and had Julia draw one that is still worshipped (Shiva), which isn't portrayed at all the way they described. They were going to edit around it and post the rest of the episode without that part, but it turns out a lot of people also had problems with the guest's language containing casual misogyny, so they deleted the whole thing. Which I get - they called every character a bitch or slut a bunch of times, as I guess a term of endearment, but it didn't come off that way. Here's the Reddit thread about it.

I started watching the first part of it and wasn’t feeling it (not for any particular reason, just because the prompt and guest didn’t grab me). Went back later and found it was taken down. I believe the first drawing was about Odin’s wife? Didn’t see the rest but I would have been surprised if I’d kept watching and seen Shiva, one of the central deities in Hinduism. Only took 14 days after the April Fool's apology video... I saw that episode, though kinda tuned out by the time it go to Julia. It was definitely hornier than average, with most of that being driven by the guest. That said, I don't know how much of the complaints about the language are really just complaints about the guest being trans.

They definitely used feminine pronouns in regards to Shiva and admitted that, while they had done research on Nathan and Karina’s deities, pretty much everything they knew about Shiva came from Final Fantasy, which is, of course, famously accurate.

Oh Jesus Christ. I had saved it to my watch later playlist because my husband likes watching it with me, but by the time he got home it was gone. All I saw was the thumbnail of Freya (I think it was anyway. Looked like her) but I didn't know anything other than that and that the team took it down because it wasn't well researched. Basing Shiva off of FF is amazingly terrible though, of my god.

It sounded like a cool idea for an episode but I didn't get around to it before it went down. Oh well, at least they dealt with it quickly. E: Tough the follow up the Cursed Ships episode, what a nightmare of an ep.

Same boat for me, I watched it but don't remember anything from Julia's drawing... or really anything except Nathan's Freya. Definitely kind of thought the guest's swearing was excessive but no comment on like, offensiveness?

I mean, I think the main issue was the whole 'this deity still worshipped by huge amounts of people? Yea I mainly got my info from half remembered Final Fantasy poo poo that shares the name' which I don't think is elaborate smokescreen cover for anti-trans agendas

But the other thing sticklefifer mentioned about people not liking the "misogynistic language" seems like a smoke-screen for something else.

The guest was enby, and Drawfee's fans are very pro-LGBTQ+, but it was more that the guest was repeatedly calling every woman they mentioned as "this bitch" and "that slut" that put some people off.

I had no idea Heathcliff had devolved into a surrealist techno-nightmare over the years. Why does he have a drone and a robot? Why is Garbage Ape a thing? I guess you have to get weird to get noticed in comics anymore, but holy poo poo.

Mentioning this because this bit came back briefly on last week's stream: There was a stream in March where Julia talked about a guy in the theater when they saw The Batman, and Nathan's delivery of "no more lies" randomly enters my head a potentially unhealthy amount during the day. There was also a recent Drawfee collaborative charity stream on ProZD's channel where they rated anime husbands and wives, which is probably not going to be posted on Drawfee's Youtube since SungWon Cho was hosting it. sticklefifer fucked around with this message at 08:23 on Jun 16, 2022 |

Aww, I remember when they first announced they started dating. Awesome for them. Apparently the ring is alexandrite, which changes color in different light. That rules. https://www.twitch.tv/videos/1555517058 Announcement at about 6:30 in. sticklefifer fucked around with this message at 04:15 on Aug 9, 2022 |

This whole episode was building up to the punchline where they learn that the screen wasn't recording the whole time, and I'm a bit disappointed that we only got to hear five seconds of it. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Zq_ba25xp8c

I really enjoyed how that episode went from "lightly mocking Julia" to "genuinely upset" all during the Bobby Hill drawing. Also, this does raise an interesting question: Is Mike Judge the anti-Julia? His character designs seem to throw her for the biggest loops.
