She leaned forward. "We are going to assassinate the bad men of Hollywood."

Some bangers
Some snoozers
and some whatever songs

Honestly the fun songs are better than the snoozers so I’m having fun with it

The production is great, her voice sounds good but if you held a gun to my head and asked me to hum the melodies I would be dead. Kinda weird too because I enjoyed listening to it, but I literally cant tell you how any of the songs go except Break My Soul and Summer Renaissance (because the I Feel Love sample is so iconic)

Yeah basically. Seems like real good dance music, but I’m not into dance music, so it bounces right off. Which is a shame cos I like how much rapping she does in it.

After listening some more, yeah Beyonce did that. And it’s not a forgettable project at all. Like I would say forgettable is Tove Lo, this got some heat man. Queen B on AG cook production?!

Listening to Renaissance again and thinking pretty much the same things as when I heard it yesterday. Production's incredible and there are some touches I really like here and there like the inclusion of the Triggerman beat in Church Girl and some of the vocal inflections, but it's too long, which wouldn't be a problem if the songs felt memorable to me, except they don't aside from Break My Soul and All Up In Your Mind.

Several snoozers on this one, like Drake's new dance album. While the snoozers on this one are of a higher quality than the snoozers on Drake's, they're still snoozers IMO.

I'll take Lemonade over this any day.

This might be my favorite Beyoncé album now? It’s just so fun and packed to the gills with bangers and imo very little filler.

I see that. Both albums seem to have a lot of songs at roughly the same tempo, with roughly the same “four on the floor bass drum/snare on 2 and 4” beat, and a similar laid back grooving feeling. They’re both very good summer chill pop albums in my opinion. Near the top of the list for “chillin' by the pool” music.

But it’s also slightly amusing you basically said “I’m listening to Funk Wave Bounces Vol. 2 by Calvin Harris and it feels a lot like this song from Funk Wave Bounces Vol. 1 by Calvin Harris”. :v:

I think the original Juno is a tighter piece. As much as I adore the new songs, that intro with Liquor Store and Anthony Kiedis is too good to give up.

Yeah it is odd that the tracks were just added into the album instead of at the end. I haven’t really listened to the album in sequence (I feel I never do that anymore, shamefully) so can’t really say about that.

But I do feel Street That You Live On is a good closer.

It has emerged over the last few weeks that Kim Petras's album Problematique is never coming out.

Here's a leak of (allegedly) the whole thing.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Upll3D4kgQ4

Kim's been pumping out music for years now but only has one proper album (2019's Clarity). It's hard to think that Dr Luke isn't loving her over, but there's no shortage of fuckers in the industry....
