Try a pro-mist filter. I have the 1/8 and a 1/4. I don't think you need to go any stronger than 1/4 or else the effect can be overwhelming, unless that's your bag, baby.

Shot on digital. I deliberately cranked the ISO to try to get the most out of the very fast-moving sea fog. I'd never seen a parking lot this close to the beach before:
