Cached Money posted:Watched it, felt sort of bogus. It zones in on one particular accuser who is admittedly very dubious. The main "witness" they talk to is a record industry PR woman who is also a MJ fan. Then they get into some sort of plot involving NAMBLA members coaching the kid to normalize pedophilia somehow by making MJ a high profile pedo? The thing that struck me about it was how they allowed the civil suit to predate the federal case. I don't know enough about how it usually work but I mean it makes sense that you'd hold the civil suits of until the federal case is settled. And isn't it kind of official canon that the music industry is rooted in the mafia? Would it really be far fetched that they bribed a judge while also steering the media coverage away from the judge poor ruling? I don't remember the NAMBLA stuff though, maybe i passed out while watching it.

Musk is really just a litmus test for stupid people, his bullshit does not fly with people who have even a tiny bit of experience in science/engineering, but all your local middle managers and small business owners love him. He is the perfect mascot for our current gilded age: emerald miner kid with almost no understanding of computers, science, energy, or orbital mechanics makes himself a billionaire with an ever-expanding program of government handouts and military contracting, and a steady stream of nonsense distractions.

I don't think I've said it before and maybe it's worth mentioning that Jolly West's study where he brutally OD'd Tusko the elephant with LSD, which is unanimously pointed to as a huge joke and/or flop and/or animal abuse, was published in Science, the highest impact journal across all fields still From, "From Tusko to Titin: the role for comparative physiology in an era of molecular discovery" by S. L. Lindstedt and K. C. Nishikawa in the American Journal of Physiology

Walker Percy's Love in the Ruins (1971) is a political satire that's mostly too centrist (and Catholic) for this thread, but the central villain is a CIA agent (who may also be literally Satan) trying to buy or steal experimental psych drugs to brainwash a town into starting a race war. Its interesting to me since MKULTRA hadn't yet been revealed to the public at all

Also they pull out a clip of certified insane narcissist Corey Feldman as some sort of testimony to MJs advantage.

lmao. Just learned one of those things that isn't connected to anything in particular, but is yet another in a string of deaths among people that the government wants dead. The German police found the identity of a man who designed a 3D-printed gun, and two days later he was found dead. The coroner said the 28-year-old must have had a heart attack because "the excitement was just too much for him."

It's not like the idea wasn't just sorta floating around out there.
