the worst "everything is covered in filth" scenarios for me have been having the father-in-law who doesn't really wash his hands come stay at my place and touch everything and then my mother walking around my house without taking her boots off and turns out she's got a giant dog turd on her boot

I may be telling on myself more than a little, but goat poo poo is about the most innocuous animal poo poo you can have around you. It's dry, pellety, and pretty uninfected with anything catching. I live with birds and dogs, and while goats are assholes, their poops are about the least obnoxious thing about them. And I really like goats, but they are undeniably assholes.

Or its thinking about turning on sound for a static persons face yapping at the phone camera alone in their car, then you know there will be no awesome come uppance or violence, just crazy diatribe and in 2022 theres plenty out there. And I think with shooters in particular, their manifestos arent so publicly broadcast out of fear of copycats in agreement, but think from the shooters perspective. They probably spent a lot of time on that manifesto and did a lot of edits and additions and proof reading and its all organized to be given to the media so everyone can understand why, but then the news doesn't even mention this tome of suffering and if no one is reading your manifesto of shittiness, then whats the point really? Reminds me of how they stopped reporting the Golden Gate Bridge jumpers because of them leading to similar copycats getting the idea in their head.
